Mercedes-Benz GLC Electric Launched In India At Rs 78.50 Lakh
The single GLC 400 4MATIC gets a 94 kWh battery, 483 bhp and up to 711 km of WLTP range, Mercedes said.
Mercedes-Benz has launched the brand-new GLC Electric in India, priced at Rs 78.50 lakh. The SUV is produced locally at the Chakan plant near Pune and arrives as a single, fully-loaded GLC 400 4MATIC variant.
Measuring 4,856 mm in length with a 2,972 mm wheelbase, the SUV features a chrome-lined grille inspired by iconic Mercedes models like the 600 Pullman and W111 S-Class. The grille area includes 942 dotted LEDs that produce a light show when unlocking.
The interior boasts an expansive 39.1-inch Hyperscreen, an electrochromic glass roof with nine switchable segments, and a 15-speaker Burmester 3D surround sound system. However, the model notably lacks seat ventilation and rear sun shades.
Utilising an 800-volt architecture, the 94 kWh NMC battery powers dual motors developing 483 bhp and 800 Nm of torque. Peak DC fast-charging reaches 330 kW, with a WLTP-rated range of up to 711 kilometres.
Capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.3 seconds with a top speed of 210 kmph, the vehicle delivers strong performance. Mercedes faces no direct rivals currently, with the BMW iX3 expected to arrive in 2027.
Mercedes GLC Electric: Mercedes-Benz will locally assemble this electric SUV. Based on a 400V architecture, the company claims a driving range of approximately 711 kilometers (WLTP certified) on a single charge.
