The Bundestag and the Bundesrat are facing exciting meetings: Is there the necessary two-thirds majority for the billion-dollar financial package of the Union, SPD and the Greens? Part of the answer lies in Munich.
The party is trying to stop the vote in the Bundestag in a new attempt. The Federal Constitutional Court had already rejected a first attempt by the right-wing party.
Frank Schäffler (FDP) appeals to the "reasonable forces in the Union" at WORLD TV to prevent the financial package. "We do not accept that the biggest debt package in history is being brought through the old Bundestag in the pig gallop.
The Federal Constitutional Court must decide whether the planned short-term amendment of the Basic Law is admissible. At least two CDU Members want to reject it on Tuesday.
Criticism of the Union and SPD financial package does not shrink: a law, "knitted with a hot needle", is said. New urgent proposals in Karlsruhe are intended to prevent the vote.
