Mel Gibson yesterday credited President Michael D Higgins with bringing his Oscar-winning movie Braveheart to Ireland. The superstar filmmaker was in Trim, Co. Meath, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the historical epic about William Wallace and the First Scottish War of Independence.
