Meghan ‘Deeply Distressed’ by Allegation Her Father Had Child Abuse Images
Meghan Markle said the allegations were first raised in 2018 and that her priority remains protecting her children and other innocent families.
On Friday, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, said she was 'deeply distressed' by allegations that her father, Thomas Markle Snr, was found in possession of child sexual abuse images.
Meghan revealed she was informed of 'disturbing allegations' about her father in 2018, when a letter sent to the Metropolitan Police and Royalty and Specialist Protection was subsequently shared with her.
Markle Snr vehemently denied the claims, calling them 'sick lies' after his son, Thomas Markle Jr, reported him to police for allegedly keeping the illicit images at a former home.
Citing the need to 'protect them,' Meghan confirmed she has not allowed her father to have contact with her two children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five.
The Cebu Police have launched an official probe into the matter, with Meghan expressing her 'sincerest hope is that justice will be fully served' for the safety of innocent children.
