Meghalaya to explore immigration Act to regulate foreign entry

The Meghalaya government is exploring the possibility of bringing the state under the ambit of the Immigration and Foreigners Act as a mechanism to regulate the entry of foreigners, even as it continues to pursue the long-pending demand for Inner Line Permit (ILP) with the Centre, Chief Minister Conrad K.
