Boston Dynamics' humanoid robot Atlas successfully demonstrated the performance of delivering the match ball to the referee during the Round of 16 match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America. According to Hyundai Motor on the 6th, Atlas appeared in the players' entrance tunnel just before the end of halftime and [delivered] three players including Son Heung-min, England's Harry Kane, Erling Haaland (Norway), and Matheus Cunha (Brazil).
