Oxford Library Cat Issy Gains Following at Lady Margaret Hall

Cat Isambard Kitten Brunel, known as Issy, commutes by bus to Oxford University's Lady Margaret Hall, where owner Jamie Fishwick-Ford works as a librarian.
Fishwick-Ford began bringing Issy to work six years ago, noting Lady Margaret Hall was a 'very dog-orientated college' when he first arrived.
Jamie chose the Siberian Forest Cat because they are hypoallergenic, and the cat provides welfare support: 'He's always very friendly and calm, but he's even more so when someone is upset or crying,' Jamie added.
Issy has become an unofficial mascot, appearing on outreach team stickers, with students frequently bringing friends and family to meet the cat.
Demand for Issy's presence now extends across Oxford as the cat visits other colleges, with Jamie noting, 'He's already got a long list of colleges that wants him to visit next term.
