MCO announces first nonstop flights connecting Orlando to Tokyo

ZIPAIR Tokyo will operate four round-trip nonstop charter flights starting February 2026, creating the first direct air link between Japan and Florida, officials said.

  • Four round-trip nonstop charter flights are scheduled between Narita International Airport and Orlando International Airport, with tickets on sale in December 2025, officials said.
  • The announcement was made Tuesday at the Hotel New Otani, Tokyo, unveiling the route to Disney executives and officials; ZIPAIR Tokyo, a Japan Airlines subsidiary, uses a low-base fare model serving five U.S. cities.
  • The nonstop path spans 6,300 nautical miles and takes about 13 to 15 hours on ZIPAIR's Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, featuring standard economy and Zip Full-Flat business class cabins.
  • Casandra Matej, President and CEO of Visit Orlando, said `This new route unlocks exciting opportunities to showcase Orlando's world-famous theme parks, thrilling sports, vibrant culinary scene, and rich cultural experiences to travelers across Asia.`
  • Officials say the charter is intended to test demand and could lead to scheduled service, with Orlando International Airport offering nonstop flights to 55 international destinations and recently adding Munich, Paris, and Madrid.
