Mbappé Leads a Night of Braces Across Europe and Pulisic Returns for AC Milan
Mbappé’s brace and assist kept Real Madrid perfect at home and moved them level on points with Barcelona at the top of La Liga.
On Saturday, Real Madrid defeated Rayo Vallecano 4-1 at the Santiago Bernabéu in La Liga, with Kylian Mbappé scoring twice and providing an assist. The victory maintained Madrid's perfect home record this season.
Mbappé opened the scoring with a 14th-minute penalty after Florian Lejeune fouled Álvaro Carreras. Three minutes later, Mbappé set up Carreras to fire in a second goal, establishing firm control.
Jude Bellingham extended the lead in the 35th minute, moving Madrid to 3-0. Sergio Camello pulled one back for Rayo in the 51st, netting his sixth goal of the campaign.
Thibaut Courtois made critical saves to preserve Madrid's lead as Rayo created chances. Mbappé sealed the 4-1 victory in the 91st minute, securing Jose Mourinho's side's dominant performance.
"It was fundamental to win, above all after losing the last game in La Liga," Mourinho told Real Madrid TV. Madrid now prepares for an upcoming fixture against Elche.
Real Madrid imposed 4-1 in its field on Rayo Vallecano, this Saturday on the fifth date of the Spanish LaLiga, with a double by Kylian Mbappé, to reach the leader Barcelona at the top of the classification.
