A team of researchers from the University of Maynooth (MU) in Ireland has built a DNA-based computer capable of running different programs and performing complex mathematical calculations. The system does not use silicon transistors or need a continuous power supply: it takes advantage of interactions between molecules to find the configurations that represent the correct answers.
