Scientists Find Tomb of a Maya King and His Ancient Treasures. But Who Was He?

BELIZE, JUL 11 – Te K’ab Chaak’s tomb reveals grave goods and evidence of early diplomatic ties between Caracol and Teotihuacan, reshaping understanding of Maya geopolitical history, researchers say.

Found in the ancient city of Caracol, the tomb contained a rare jade mask, ceramics, and jewelry often linked to the Maya ruling class.
