Massive demonstration in Perpignan in favor of the Bressola: “The Catalan language and culture are alive and well in Northern Catalonia”

More than 2,000 people mobilized on Saturday 15 March in the streets of downtown Perpignan to support the schools of La Bressola in a context of financial crisis.

Thousands of people have gathered in the center of Perpignan to demand the continuity of educational immersion in Catalan and, specifically, the educational project of La Bressola. The march, headed by the banner “Living cradle, living language: institutional support now!” has been full of proclamations in favor of the language, starry flags and T-shirts and banners in favor of education in Catalan in Northern Catalonia.
