MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls Preview — Entering the Next Generation of Tag-Based Fighting Games
The 72-hour test lets players try 15 fighters, online matches and story chapters before the game’s August 6 launch.
- On July 24, MARVEL TMkon: Fighting Souls begins a major open beta test for PS5 and PC. Players can access the 72-hour stress test, sampling the 4v4 tag team fighter before its August 6 release.
- Following smaller closed betas last year, this event functions as the first major stress test for Fighting Souls. The trial allows developers to evaluate system stability and combat mechanics ahead of the official launch.
- Boasting 15 playable characters, the Open Beta includes an interactive tutorial, online casual and ranked matches, and an open lobby. Participants can choose from 16 unique avatars to communicate and socialize while exploring core mechanics.
- Gamers can access the open beta without registration or a PlayStation Plus subscription. Pre-downloads become available two hours before the event starts, though all participants require an internet connection and an Account.
- Scheduled for an August 6, 2026, release, the game also offers a preview of the Amazing Guardians episode mode. Participants can play through the first three chapters, assembling teams as Spider-Man to confront a threat descending upon Earth.
