In Mingo County, clean water may be a week away as flood cleanup continues

The coalfields of southern West Virginia are continuing to feel the impacts of unprecedented flooding on Feb. 15-16, 2025 when heavy rain caused flood waters to ravage the Mingo County. Cleanup continues but clean drinking water may not be available to users of the Mingo County Public Service District until as late as Feb. 27, 2025.
