Marshall football: Local stars Lewis, Jackson and Martin shining for Herd

HUNTINGTON — Marshall linebacker Cannon Lewis said the Thundering Herd felt like an all-star team he would’ve been part of after a 28-26 win over Middle Tennessee. Lewis, from Cabell Midland, and Zah Jackson, from Huntington High, each came up big for the Herd alongside offensive lineman Robby Martin, also from Huntington High. The Herd’s also got a pair of local talents at tight end in Shawn Rouse, from Cabell Midland, and Toby Payne, from Poca.
