Marshall football: Herd's season ends with loss to Georgia Southern

HUNTINGTON — Marshall’s football season ended on Saturday in a 24-19 loss to Georgia Southern. The Herd finishes one game shy of bowl eligibility at 5-7. Georgia Southern, meanwhile, will await a bid at 6-6. A total of 17 seniors participated in senior day.
