Noam Solberg, the Deputy President of the Supreme Court, wrote in his decision that "there is no room to accept the petitioners' claims regarding Zini's professional unsuitability for the position, nor the claims regarding the purity of his qualities." Yitzhak Amit, in a minority opinion, believed that the appointment decision justified issuing a conditional order.
