The NT parliament has passed new laws to restore mandatory minimum sentencing for some domestic violence order breaches, despite widespread disapproval from women's legal services.

Mexicali, 20 May. Maythé Méndez, a Black MP, presented an initiative to reform the State Penal Code to make the rehabilitation of perpetrators of family violence compulsory.
