Man shot in back while running from party fight, suspect charged

HOUSTON (KIAH) — Investigators say a man killed during a family gathering was shot in the back while trying to run away. The shooting happened Friday night on Richmond. Witnesses told police they heard an argument at a party before shots were fired. Court documents show the victim was unarmed when 21-year-old Jeremiah Lee Jackson allegedly shot him in the back as he fled. Jackson is charged with murder and is due back in court Tuesday.
