Police said a man was shot near the Cobian’s Plaza building
A violent death was reported yesterday on Bolívar Street, near Cobián Plaza, in Santurce.
The man murdered on Wednesday in Santurce was identified as Hector Miranda Rojas, known as “Pito Shell,” and who was sentenced in 2013 to eight years in prison for laundering money related to drug trafficking. According to authorities, by that time Miranda Rojas was leading a powerful criminal organization in Vega Baja. He was also linked to other drug traffickers, such as Angelo Millions.
