- Between August 10 and 15, 2024, Guerrero posted antisemitic social media threats from an IP address in Spain, including graphic messages targeting Fine's sons with violent and hateful language.
- During the sentencing hearing, Fine testified that Guerrero's threats "made my blood run cold" and stated, "My boys are now victims of a crime."
- Guerrero was also ordered to pay a $15,000 fine, though his defense attorney James Skuthan argued the sentence exceeded similar cases involving threats against elected officials.
- Fine called Guerrero a "Muslim terrorist" in a statement, warning, "Threaten violence against an elected official in Florida or their family, and your life as you know it is over." Guerrero had already served 25 months awaiting trial.
