Man lives in “inhumane conditions” in basement, city imposes housing ban

During the inspection of a house in the Hollandstraat, near Sint-Jansplein, it turned out that a man was living in the basement in inhuman conditions. The city authorities have banned the owners of the building from living in the basement.

Tijdens de controle van een woning in de Hollandstraat, vlak bij het Sint-Jansplein, bleek dat een man in onmenselijke omstandigheden in de kelder woonde. Het stadsbestuur heeft aan de eigenaars van het gebouw een woonverbod opgelegd voor de kelder.
