Man Killed on 210 Freeway After Fleeing Monrovia Home Depot ICE Raid

In Monrovia, Thursday, August 14, 2025, a man fleeing an ICE raid ran onto the eastbound 210 Freeway near Myrtle Avenue and was fatally struck by a vehicle, CHP reports.
Earlier this year, masked and armed agents from ICE and U.S. Border Patrol began raids at Home Depot stores across Southern California, part of President Donald Trump's mass deportation plan.
City officials said, `During the ICE activity, one person fled on foot, crossing Evergreen Avenue and entered onto the eastbound 210 Freeway`, and the city has no further information.
Shortly after the crash, Monrovia Fire & Rescue responded after CHP reported a pedestrian hit on the freeway near Myrtle Avenue, and the man later died at a hospital.
A DHS spokesperson said its agents did not pursue the man and was unaware of the incident until after operations concluded, despite ten people being detained, State Rep. John Harabedian said.
