GRANITE CITY, Ill. - A man was left dead in a crash after police lost him during a pursuit Thursday evening. The incident occurred around 8:05 p.m. as the Granite City police tried to make a stop to a Dodge Ram pickup truck they claimed was traveling at a high rate of speed going southbound on Illinois Highway 3. The truck refused to make a stop and immediately fled the police. The police stopped their pursuit after losing sight of the vehicle. …
