COPIAH COUNTY, Miss. (WLBT) – The Copiah County Sheriff’s Department is investigating after a man was found dead from an apparent shooting on Johnsons Lane in Hazlehurst on Monday. Deputies were called around 11:40 a.m. to the 1000 block of Johnsons Lane. The victim, Benjamin Price, 39, was found behind the home by a family member, according to Sheriff Byron Swilley. Investigation underway after man found dead inside Hazlehurst home

COPIAH COUNTY – A man was found dead, shot in the chest in a home in Copiah County today. According to Sheriff Byron Swilley, the Copiah County sheriff’s office was called to 1028 Johnson Lane in Hazlehurst Monday at 11:40 a.m. Once deputies arrived, they learned that a relative of the victim found him deceased in the rear of the house.
