Sydney Neighbour Charged With Murder After Fatal Noise Dispute
Police allege the 41-year-old was punched, fell down stairs and died after CPR attempts, while the 30-year-old was charged with murder and assault.
On Friday at 1am, Police charged a 30-year-old man with murder following an alleged assault at Lister Avenue, Ermington, Sydney.
A noise dispute originating from the 41-year-old's unit sparked the incident, Police allege. The confrontation escalated from a late-night complaint.
The 30-year-old man allegedly punched the 41-year-old multiple times, causing him to fall down a flight of stairs, where the assault allegedly continued.
Emergency services performed CPR on the 41-year-old, but he died upon arrival at the hospital. The victim's death escalated the charge to murder.
Refused bail, the 30-year-old man was set to appear at Burwood Local Court on Friday to face murder and assault charges.
