Man charged with attempted murder after car hits pedestrians

On Monday, Nottinghamshire Police charged Duane Anthony, 40, with five counts of attempted murder after a red Vauxhall Astra struck pedestrians in Arnold, Nottinghamshire, on Saturday at 1:12 am.
Following an earlier 'altercation' in the town centre, the vehicle struck the group at Market Place. The driver abandoned the car and fled on foot, prompting a police manhunt.
Woodthorpe Park Rangers confirmed three team members, including the manager, were struck, with one player 'fighting for his life.' The club stated it is 'struggling' and requesting privacy.
Anthony is due at Nottingham Magistrates' Court this morning following the investigation. Detective Chief Inspector Ruby Burrow thanked the team for working 'around the clock' to secure charges.
