A man is awaiting charges after breaking into a home in Sparwood on June 22. Elk Valley RCMP were called to a house on June 22 after a man attempted to force his way into a Sparwood residence with a knife. Police said witnesses heard the man shouting and threatening residents from inside the home. The man was arrested without incident and brought to the Sparwood RCMP detachment cells for investigation.
