A man accused of stealing a safe from a Finger Lakes home returned it to State Police 10 days later, but about $600 of the cash was missing, troopers said.Alvin L. Benjamin, 60, of Sodus, contacted State Police on Oct. 20 and voluntarily went to the Canandaigua barracks, according to a news release.
