Man, 42, shot, wounded in Lawndale

A man was shot and wounded in Lawndale on Monday night, Chicago police said.Police responded to a call of a person shot at 8:41 p.m. in the 1600 block of South Springfield Avenue and found a man, 42, with a gunshot wound to the chest, police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.No one is in custody.
