Man, 41, killed in shooting on Chicago's South Side, police say

Man shot, killed in Englewood

A man was fatally shot while walking in Englewood on Monday afternoon. The man, 41, was walking in the 1100 block of West 56th Street about 5:35 p.m. when someone opened fire, Chicago police said. The man was struck in the cheek and taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said. No arrests were made.
