It had to be in Astigarraga, the town with the largest number of cider houses, up to twenty, in Gipuzkoa. It seems logical that there, next to an apple orchard where seven of the 115 varieties catalogued by the D.O. Euskal Sagardoa (Goikoetxe, Txalaka, Moko, Urtebi Haundi, Patzolua, Mozolua, Frantses Sagarra) are planted, Malum Rex, the first cider bar or sagar bar (sagar means apple in Basque).
