Boy, 14, charged with murder after teenage girl's body discovered
Gwent Police said the suspect is in custody and will appear in court as officers continue their investigation.
Gwent Police charged a 14-year-old boy with murder on Friday, June 26, following the discovery of a body in Duffryn Park, Blaina, on Monday, June 22. He remains in custody pending his appearance at Newport Magistrates' Court.
Missing 14-year-old Lilly was last seen on High Street, Blaina, at 6:50pm on Saturday, June 20. Authorities have not completed formal identification of the body discovered earlier this week, though they believe it is hers.
Forensic examinations continue at Duffryn Park, where police cordoned off parts of the area adjacent to the A467. Officers urge the public to provide CCTV footage or information by calling 101, quoting reference 2600194414.
