Most of Maine Is No Longer in Drought, but Dry Conditions Linger Along Coast

A wetter-than-average spring reduced drought intensity across much of the state, but groundwater stays below normal and recovery is expected to take months.

It's an improvement even since mid-June, when much of interior Maine was still considered abnormally dry or under drought conditions by the U.S. Drought Monitor.
