Pune: This season, the Sugar Commissionerate has issued sugarcane crushing licenses to 207 sugar factories, including 102 cooperatives and 105 private ones. Out of which, 191 factories are actually crushing sugarcane. This includes 95 cooperatives and 96 private factories. So far, 446 lakh metric tons of sugarcane have been crushed in the season.
