The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center said that an earthquake of 6.2 magnitude hit eastern Papua New Guinea on Tuesday. The center added that the earthquake was 448 kilometers northward to the northwest of the capital Port Moresby and at a depth of about 200 kilometers.
