Magheragall Parish Church welcomed veterans to VE Day commemoration service

Magheragall Parish Church recently welcomed members of the Regimental Association of the Royal Irish Regiment Lisburn Branch and the UDR CGC Lisburn Branch Veterans for the VE Day 80th Anniversary Commemoration Service.

VE Day Flags Donated

Rotary Great Aycliffe was proud to be able to donate two flags to Great Aycliffe Town Council, to mark the celebrations for the 80th anniversary of VE day. President, Geoff Knapton, is seen presenting one of the flags to Town Clerk Dan Austin. In the background is a photograph of HMS Eskimo, which played a pivotal role defending Britain in the war.
