Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, held a high-level meeting with the President of the Republic of Belarus, Aleksandr Grigorievich Lukashenko, in Minsk and conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the people and Parliament of Pakistan to the people of Belarus.
Belarus and Pakistan need to intensify economic relations, as Alexander Lukashenko said today, 24 September, in a meeting with the President of the Pakistani Senate, Said Yusuf Raza Gilani.
"The heads of our States, Governments, parliaments and ministries meet regularly, and meetings of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation are held, as should be between real friends," said the Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus, Viktor Karankevich.
Alexander Lukashenka is not happy with the development of relations with Pakistan. He wants an audit of the agreements. He asked the President of the Senate of Pakistan, Said Yusuf Raza Gilani, who visited Minsk. Lukashenko noted that the level of political and parliamentary interaction with Pakistan was not commensurate with the level of economic relations.
