Following the demise of Lufthansa subsidiary Cityline, several aircraft remain grounded at Munich Airport. The reason some of these are now being relocated to Saarbrücken is partly due to parking costs.
According to Lufthansa, the early grounding of the regional subsidiary Cityline brings about 180 million euros of earnings per year. Negotiations on the sale of the entire CRJ900 fleet are already underway – including with US stakeholders.
