- JT Lindsey, a first-year running back at LSU, surrendered to campus police on Friday following the issuance of an arrest warrant charging him with two felony offenses for aiding individuals wanted in connection with second-degree murder.
- Lindsey is charged with knowingly allowing two teenagers, Shemell Jacobs, who is 17, and Keldrick Jordan, who is 18, both suspects in a fatal shooting that occurred in Alexandria in May, to reside in his on-campus dorm earlier this year.
- Attorney Kris Perret stated Lindsey was unaware that the two teenagers were wanted for murder, and Lindsey maintains he had no involvement in the crimes or intent to harbor the suspects.
- The arrest warrant signed August 6 alleges Lindsey harbored the suspects, who were arrested by U.S. Marshals on August 4 in the Riverbend Building, where multiple guns including two AR-15 rifles were found.
