Man Fatally Shot in Downtown Long Beach Near Grand Prix

A man was fatally shot in downtown Long Beach Saturday, close to the area where the Grand Prix was taking place on Saturday. The shooting was reported just before 6 p.m. Saturday near Cedar Walk, close to the shoreline, according to the Long Beach Police Department. Responding officers located a man suffering from gunshot wounds and transported him to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police are searching for a suspect after a man was found shot to death in Long Beach Saturday. Long Beach police responded to a shooting on the 1900 block of 45th Street at around 12:24 a.m. Officers found the victim, Travis Lee Robinson Sr., 56, of Long Beach, suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.  He was pronounced dead at the scene by Long Beach fire personnel.
