Thibau C., a known far-right activist from the local sphere, was sentenced on Thursday to six months in prison and two years suspended with provisional execution, for incitement to hatred, discrimination on the grounds of religion and apology of crime against humanity.
Sentenced for provocation to religious hatred, the defendant invokes a "bewit provocation" against the antifas. The investigation reveals the purchase of stickers with the Puaud brigade's effigy, a reference to the Nazi regime.
The defendant expressed some "sorry", not without confusion, and claimed to have acted by "wild provocation" against the "antifas". The alteration of his discernment at the time of the facts was recognized by the court.
The stickers had been placed on urban furniture in the streets of Orleans in May and had aroused general outrage. Thibaud C has just been sentenced by the Orléans Correctional Court.
