In 1990, local sculptor Alan LeQuire unveiled Nashville’s own statue of Athena at the Parthenon in Centennial Park. Now, he’s unveiling his latest exhibit which he says honors the women who shaped his life. “Monumental Figures,” features a collection of sculptures, some reaching 12 feet in height. They include such icons as Simone Biles and Joan Baez, as well as local legend Dorothy Brown — the first African American female surgeon in the South.…
