In 284 Styrian municipalities the councillors are re-elected today. The first polling stations have been open since 6.30 a.m., some have already closed at 10.00 a.m. and the deadline is 2.30 p.m.

The municipal elections in 284 Styrian municipalities were defeated and, after counting all the votes, it was clear that ÖVP and SPÖ had to suffer losses, while the FPÖ increased from a low level almost everywhere.
