Lake Michigan College is celebrating 30 years of its Upward Bound program, a federally funded initiative that helps first generation and low income students from the Benton Harbor area prepare for and succeed in higher education. LMC says the program serves up to 78 students each year, primarily from Benton Harbor High School.
