A Thaxton man was arrested and charged with taking merchandise from Home Depot in Oxford. The Oxford Police Department was notified of the theft on June 15 and, after reviewing evidence, arrested Joshua Tallant, 38, of Thaxton. Tallant allegedly stole items worth more than $1,700 from the store. He was booked into the Lafayette County Detention Center.
