Liverpool in Record £300m Deal as Turkish Airlines Replaces Standard Chartered
The five-year agreement will put Turkish Airlines on Liverpool’s men’s, women’s and Academy shirts, replacing Standard Chartered in the club’s first major sponsor change in 17 years.
On Tuesday, Liverpool Football Club announced that Turkish Airlines will become its new Main Club Partner from June 1, 2027, replacing London-based Standard Chartered on the front of men's, women's, and Academy match shirts.
The five-year agreement marks the first change in front-of-shirt sponsorship for the Reds in 17 years, ending the primary partnership with Standard Chartered, which will transition to a Global Partner role.
Valued at in excess of £300million, or £60m per season, the club claims this is the most lucrative front-of-shirt contract in the history of the Premier League.
Turkish Airlines CEO Ahmet Olmustur said, "We are very pleased that Turkish Airlines will become the Club's Main Club Partner and that our name will take its place on one of the most iconic shirts in world sport."
Seeking to expand its commercial reach, the club reported it remains the most engaged Premier League team on social media, garnering 1.5billion engagements last season—34% more than the next club.
