Gray-New Gloucester/Raymond Falls in Little League Regional Final
Drew Clark ended Maine’s 10-run win over Vermont with a fifth-inning grand slam, and the team will play Bridgewater for the regional title.
On Wednesday, the Maine state champions, Gray-New Gloucester-Raymond Little League, advanced to the New England Regional Final after defeating Vermont 10-0, secured by Drew Clark's walk-off grand slam in the fifth inning.
Maine reached the final despite an earlier 7-0 loss to Massachusetts, rebounding with a 10-6 victory over New Hampshire in this year's tournament. This is the second time in four years a team from Gray has reached the regional.
Thursday night in Bristol, Connecticut, Massachusetts pitcher Dominik Mombeleur struck out 14 batters and allowed only two hits, leading Bridgewater to an 8-0 victory over Maine in the New England Regional championship game.
Bridgewater's Anthony Sullivan hit a bases-loaded triple in the third inning to extend the lead to 6-0, while Mombeleur reached the 85-pitch limit facing Beau Amergian in the sixth.
This victory sends the Massachusetts team to the Little League World Series, which officially begins August 19, 2026, in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
