Lithuania's Vilnius airport reopen after airspace disruption
Lithuania's Vilnius airport resumed operations after balloons had forced it to close its airspace earlier, it said on Saturday, the latest in a series of interruptions of the Baltic nation's air traffic in recent months.
Vilnius Airport temporarily suspended operations on Saturday evening due to suspected hot air balloons flying nearby. The disruption affected nine flights and around a thousand passengers, the Lithuanian Airports Association (LTOU) said.
On the evening of Saturday, December 6, Vilnius Airport closed its airspace after balloons from Belarus were fixed in the airspace.
