Lithuanian embassy in Kyiv damaged in Russian missile attack
The Lithuanian embassy in Kyiv sustained minor to limited damage during a large Russian missile and drone attack, with no embassy employees harmed, according to Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
Russian forces launched 35 missiles, including ballistic types, and 185 drones targeting Kyiv and other regions, with Ukrainian forces intercepting only one ballistic missile due to a shortage of interceptor missiles.
The attack caused damage across seven districts in Kyiv, affecting 18 residential buildings, a school, infrastructure, the Lithuanian embassy, and a central ambulance depot, resulting in nine deaths and approximately 30 injuries, including children.
Russian terror spares no one and respects no international norms, in particular the provisions of the Vienna Convention, as pointed out by Andrei Sybiga.
